The short version
Tvashta Studio is a one-person game development studio run by Renish, a game developer from India who works with Unreal Engine and Unity. The studio makes three things:
- Free tools that remove small, annoying jobs from a game developer's day.
- Tutorials and devlogs written while building real projects.
- Plugins and assets that save other developers weeks of work, sold on Fab and the Unity Asset Store.
Why the name "Tvashta"?
In Indian mythology, Tvashta (also written Tvashtr) is the divine craftsman and architect of the gods. He is said to have forged their tools and weapons, including Indra's thunderbolt, the vajra. He did not fight the battles himself; he made the things that let others succeed.
That is the whole idea behind this studio. Most of what we build is a tool for someone else: a plugin that becomes part of your game, a calculator that helps you balance it, or a generator that turns an hour of busywork into a few seconds.
Why free tools?
Every game developer loses time to the same small problems:
- A normal map that looks inverted because Unreal and Unity disagree about the green channel.
- Packing roughness, metallic and AO into one texture, and remembering which channel goes where for each engine.
- Exporting a dozen Steam images at exactly the right sizes, the week before a festival.
- Guessing whether a shop economy or XP curve will feel good before anyone has played it.
None of these are hard. They are just slow, and they pull you away from the game. The tools on this site solve them properly, for both engines, for free. If a tool saves you twenty minutes, it has done its job.
How we build things
- Correct first. Formulas are checked against official documentation and tested. When we estimate (like Steam sales), we say so and show the range.
- Both engines, properly. Unreal and Unity users get the exact format their engine expects, not a "close enough" export.
- Respect for your work. No sign-up walls. Files you upload are processed in memory and never stored.
- Honest content. Tutorials come from real projects, including the mistakes.
What we are working on
The first commercial product is the Shopping Simulator Kit, an Unreal Engine plugin for shop and supermarket simulator games. Follow its development on the blog, and see the products page for everything else.
